Guidance Letter G-120

CLEVELAND STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE Cleveland, Tennessee

SUBJECT:  Classroom and Laboratory Safety

With concern for the safety and security of persons and property, it is the position of the college that, in general, following the close of evening classes, students remaining in classrooms must be appropriately supervised by designated faculty/staff.  In cases wherein individuals are observed in these situations without appropriate supervision, Security will request that they leave the classroom/lab.

Relative to laboratory settings wherein chemicals, computers, or other sensitive or potentially hazardous items are present, students should be appropriately supervised at all times and should not be left alone.
