SUBJECT: Compensation of Classified Employees

  1. Definitions
    1. Classified Employees - Non-exempt employees who are classified under EEOC categories Clerical, Technical/Paraprofessional, Skilled Craft, and Service Maintenance.
    2. Skill Level - A description of positions which may encompass several individual positions, e.g., the positions of Secretary 1; Library Clerk; and Switchboard Operator. These skill level specifications are not to be confused with "job" or "position" descriptions which are descriptions of an individual position. Job descriptions are prepared for each individual position.
    3. Rates of Pay - Compensation determined by skill level to which the individual is assigned.
  2. COMPENSATION
    1. Minimum and maximum salary ranges have been established for all skill levels:

    2. The rate of for all hourly employees is established by the President.
    3. Compensation rates are based on a 37.5 hour workweek.
