What is Chemical Operator Concentration?

The Associate of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering Technology is designed for those students interested in working as an operator/technician in a chemical manufacturing facility. Emphasis for the Chemical Operator Concentration is placed on industrial safety and troubleshooting of typical chemicals possess while incorporating real world case studies, teamwork and effective communication skills. The program accomplishes these tasks by combining classroom study with practical hand-on-experience in the labs associated with the coursework.

This is a technical program designed to prepare students for employment. This program is not a transfer program, although many institutions accept all or part of the coursework toward a bachelor’s degree.
