Satellite Downlinks

Media Services is capable of downloading satellite programs from many sources C/KU band and PBS Digital are routine, each year we download about 150 programs including live teleconferences and video courses. If you have a need for a live satellite feed or recorded program please feel free to contact us at ext:719. Facts regarding our satellite capabilities. There are six satellite dishes located on the CSCC campus. Three are located at the library building two are fixed digital, PBS and CTN the third is a 13' moveable dish capable of receiving both C/KU band programming from about a dozen satellites orbiting approximately 22,000 miles above the earth. There is a Dish Network dish located at the gym providing service to the fitness center. The Police Academy has a fixed digital dish at the Humanities building. There is also a 10' moveable C/KU/digital dish located at the Small Business Incubator.
