Industrial Technology AAS Degree
Mission Statement
The mission of the Computer Information Technology Concentration is to educate and train those students interested in employment in Information Technology field. This Concentration strives to provide accessible, quality, affordable, and occupationally-driven courses which relate to the concerns found in managing computer networks & hardware repair/diagnostics. The primary emphasis of this concentration is preparation for the installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of computers, the services they use, the network connectivity, as well as security and user administration in such an environment. The Concentration seeks to accomplish this by instructional excellence and collaborative interaction with the industrial community.
To obtain the AAS degree, the student’s career preparation will be grounded not only in the expected core of general education but also in an intensive study of technology based courses intended to prepare the student to function effectively in the modern world of computing technology with an environment containing multiple aspects of computing and network services.
Beyond the trained abilities to directly handle their assigned maintenance, repair and troubleshooting responsibilities in such a commercial setting, students who have completed the curriculum will have been exposed to enough related fields of computer and network maintenance concerns that they will be in a position to exhibit leadership and certain technical management skills in this field.
The Computer Information Technology Concentration graduates typically find employment in such areas as computer repair, network design and planning, data backup and recovery, security, and services provided by centrally located servers. For those with an entrepreneurial spirit, additional opportunities exist in consulting, technical sales, and service.

Industrial Technology AAS Degree
Mission Statement
The mission of the Construction Technology Concentration is to educate and train those students interested in employment in the residential and commercial building trades. The Concentration includes a modern emphasis on energy efficiency residential construction and solar power installations. This Concentration strives to provide accessible, quality, affordable, and occupationally-driven courses which provides preparation for design, planning, project management, cost estimating and contracting. The Concentration seeks to accomplish this by instructional excellence and collaborative interaction with the building trades community.
To obtain the AAS degree, the student’s career preparation will be grounded not only in the expected core of general education but also in an intensive study of technology based courses and specialized energy efficient construction techniques intended to prepare the student to function effectively in the building trades community.
The modernized emphasis on energy efficient residential construction provides renewable energy concepts, handling of photovoltaic (pv) solar panel installations, geothermal heat pump utilization, structurally insulated panel wall construction and other techniques for building “zero-energy homes.
Concentration graduates typically find employment in such areas throughout the residential and small commercial building trade field, from designer, installer, contractor, supplier and more.

The mission of the Drafting & Design Concentration is to educate and train those students interested in employment in architectural and mechanical drafting in the related fields. This Concentration strives to provide accessible, quality, affordable, and occupationally-driven courses which relate to the concerns found in a manufacturing and builders/architectural environment. The primary emphasis of this concentration is preparation in the area of designing plans and models in any related area of drafting. The Concentration seeks to accomplish this by instructional excellence and collaborative interaction with the industrial community.
To obtain the AAS degree, the student’s career preparation will be grounded not only in the expected core of general education but also in an intensive study of technology based courses intended to prepare the student to function effectively in the modern technology environment of CAD software and Prototyping.
Beyond the trained abilities to directly handle their assigned projects, in such an industrial setting, students who have completed the curriculum will have been exposed to enough related fields of technology concerns that they will be in a position to exhibit leadership and certain technical management skills in this field.
Drafting & Design Concentration graduates typically find employment in such areas as Architectural or Mechanical Draftsmen, Detailers, Modelers, Systems Analysts, GIS Technicians, Survey Technicians, etc. For those with an entrepreneurial spirit, additional opportunities exist in industrial and technical sales.

The Industrial Management concentration provides accessible, responsive, and quality education and training which qualifies individuals for professional positions in the field of industrial management. In doing so, the industrial management concentration provides students an understanding and appreciation of the functions of management and the making of management decisions. The concentration also provides learners opportunities for professional growth, and a strong foundation for continued educational achievement.
