What can I do with this degree?
A Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy provides the training necessary for a number of jobs. Physical Therapists practice in many settings, such as private-owned physical therapy clinics, outpatient clinics or offices, health and wellness clinics, rehabilitation hospitals facilities, skilled nursing facilities, extended care facilities, fitness centers and sports training facilities, etc. Physical therapists also practice in the non-patient care roles such as health policy, health insurance, and health care administration and as health care executives.
*The physical therapy degree is to prepare the student for a graduate program leading to a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Students who are interested in earning the Physical Therapy Assistant degree A.A.S. should work with their advisor to customize an academic plan to prepare them for transfer to a school that offers that program.
