Alex Huddleston C Summertown High School, TN
Thomas Huddleston RHP Summertown High School, TN
Twin brothers Alex and Thomas Huddleston will be joining the Cougar Baseball Program in the Fall from Summertown High School, where they were coached by Greg Burleson. Alex is a power hitting catcher that had an outstanding high school career batting .413 with 95 RBI, 14 2B, and 21 HR through his junior season. Thomas is a right handed pitcher that has put up equally great numbers on the mound. Thomas has gone 22-6 over his career with 141 K's in 113 innings pitched to go with only 20 walks. Thomas also compiled 17 complete games and 8 shoutouts and all of this was just through his junior season.
Both of had many accolades over their career including being on a State Championship team their sophomore season and being All District that same year. Alex was also All District in 2010 and was named to the All Tournament Team in Lookout Valley. Thomas was also All District in 2010 while being the District Tournament MVP and District MVP, and was named American Legion Post 19 Pitcher of the Year in that same summer. Alex is a 6'3, 208 lbs, right handed hitter and right handed thrower, Thomas is a 6'4, 220 lbs, right handed hitter and right handed thrower and their parents are Wesley and Kate Huddleston and Ellie their younger sister, and they are from Summertown, TN.
Derek Chandler RHP Farragut High School
Derek joins the Cougar Pitching Staff from Nationally ranked Farragut High School in Farragut, TN, where he is coached by Matt Buckner. Farragut has been a national power for the last few years and Derek has had the opportunity of winning 2 State Championships and also bidding for a 3rd. For Derek's junior season he went 7-3 and was a main contributor for Farragut on their quest for back to back to back State Championships. Derek is 6'2, 200 lbs, right handed hitter and right handed thrower and his parents are Chris and Shana Chandler from Farragut, TN.
Jared Davis C Cookeville High School
Ethan Davis LHP/1B Cookeville High School
Jared and Ethan become the second set of twins for the Cougars recruiting class, joining former and current teammates from Cookeville High School, Ross Spurgeon and Colby Harmon. The Huddleston's and Davis' will be the first time Cleveland State has ever had two sets of twins on the same team. The Davis' come from an outstanding program in Cookeville where they are coached by the legendary Butch Chaffin. Jared will be looked upon to contribute heavily behind the plate and in the middle of the order. For Jared's junior year he batted .402 with 12 2B, and 22 RBI while posting a 2.72 ERA on the mound. Ethan will be a big bodied left hander that has a lot of room to grow into his frame and has put up great numbers as a senior for Cookeville. His swing at the plate has really come around as he and Jared have battled all year hitting 4-5 in the lineup. Both of these guys will contribute tremendously to the Cougar program over the next two years. Both Davis' are 6'3 with Jared winning the weight battle at 195 lbs, and Ethan weighing in at 190 lbs. Jared is a right handed thrower and left handed hitter while Ethan is a left hand thrower and left hand hitter and their parents are Mr. and Mrs. Davis from Cookeville, TN.
Colby Harmon INF Cookeville High School
Colby will join current teammates Jared and Ethan Davis, while reuniting with former teammate Ross Spurgeon, sophomore right handed pitcher. Colby also was coached by Butch Chaffin at Cookeville High School. Colby has put up some impressive homerun numbers over his career compiling 10 by his junior season where he batted .381 with 61 RBI, 11 2B, and 3 3B. For his junior year Colby was named 6-AAA District Player to the Year. Colby is 5'9, 185 lbs, right handed thrower and right handed hitter.

Zack Taylor LHP Siegel High School
Zack comes to Cleveland from Middle Tennessee and Siegel High School in Murfreesboro, where he was coached by Craig Reavis. Zack had an outstanding career at Siegel and his senior season went 5-1 with a 3.33 ERA in 48 innings pitched, 49 strikeouts, and 3 complete games. Taylor was named First Team All District and DNJ All Sports Awards Pitcher for Siegel. Zack is 6', 160 lbs, left handed thrower and left handed hitter and his parents are Boyd and Kathy Taylor from Murfreesboro, TN.
