Andrew Root named TJCCAA Player of the Week

Andrew Root was named TJCCAA Player of the Week for his performance last weekend April 18-19 against Roane State Community College.  On the weekend the freshman right fielder was 7 for 17 with 6 runs scored, 11 RBI, 1 triple, and 3 HR.  One of Root's homeruns was a grandslam and the other was a three run shot in the top of the ninth to seal the victory in game three.  On the season Root is batting .347 with 43 hits, 12 doubles, 3 triples, 8 homeruns, and 41 runs batted in.  Andrew played at East Ridge High School and is from East Ridge, TN.
