Financial Aid

Financial Aid Census “Freeze” Date

Deadline: August 30, 2011

  • Census date: CSCC uses a “freeze” date each semester to determine a student’s enrollment status for awarding financial aid. The courses for which you are registered on the freeze date will determine financial aid eligibility.
  • This means that if a student adds or drops classes before the freeze date, the amount of financial aid they are eligible for will be affected. If classes are added or dropped after the freeze date, the financial aid will not change if you have attended the class.
  • Exceptions to this policy are students receiving Loans, who also must be enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours at the time of loan disbursement, and students who withdraw from and/or stop attending all of their classes or never attended their classes. If a student changes course sections after the freeze date and does not attend the original registered class, financial aid will consider the student as never attended and aid will not be adjusted even if the student attends the “changed section” course.
