The incumbent will be responsible for the college's web presence including the public website and content management system (CMS). The duties of this position will include, but not be limited to, programming, testing, implementation and maintenance of web applications and servers. This person will also be responsible for installing, configuration, upgrades, availability, security, performance, capacity planning, contingency planning and trouble shooting of web services and systems. The incumbent will assist in the development and maintenance of the college's web presence utilizing best practices and web standards including W3C and Web Accessibility Guidelines/Section 508.
- Maintains the college's public website and Content Management System (CMS)
- Develops and maintains dynamic web pages and frameworks for presentation of database-driven content including database design, development and/or integration programming
- Researches, recommends and implements custom and vendor-provided online technology solutions to meet the college objectives
- Provides web related training to staff as needed
- Assists in technical issues related to the college's online catalog system
- Assists the Marketing Director in maintaining the consistency in look and feel of all online services
- Assists the Marketing Director in developing and maintaining social media initiatives
- Implements Search Engine Optimization techniques to optimize the college's ranking
- Keeps up-to-date on new and emerging web technologies
- Position may require on-call duties after hours on a problem-solving perspective
- Assists in the maintenance of the college's intranet (CougarNet)
- Performs other duties relevant to the position as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of two years current and continuous experience with programming, including significant experience with current college hardware and software. Additional experience and a Bachelor's degree are preferred.
SALARY RANGE: $37,068 - $46,344 APPLICATION DEADLINE: October 29, 2010
