Testing ServicesVarious testing services for the campus are provided through the Testing Center (TC). Located in the Student Center Building (Rm. #118), the TC provides a convenient place for administering a variety of standardized tests as well as course related tests. Most of the testing is conducted on a walk-in basis during established business hours M-F. However, some standardized tests require an appointment. Click on "Testing Center Schedule" to see our current business hours and "Standardized Test Schedule" to see a list of upcoming standardized tests. Several college courses at Cleveland State require students to take exams in the TC. Additionally, some professors may allow students to use the TC to take make-up exams that were missed in a regular class. Please read the "Guidelines for Students" prior to coming to the TC so you will know the rules and procedures for taking an exam. For example, it is a requirement that you show a photo ID before taking any test. Students need to identify the course, the instructor and the specific test to be taken. Faculty members who want to use the TC should read the "Guidelines for Instructors" and complete a "Test Administration Form." The Testing Center proctors exams for students enrolled in Regents Online Degree Program (RODP) courses. Students need to follow the procedures outlined at RODP for securing a proctor. RODP testing is conducted on a first come first serve basis during the days set aside for RODP mid-term and final testing, with the exception of Saturday and Sunday. Cleveland State does not offer testing on Saturday and Sunday. No individual appointments are made for RODP testing. Off-campus testing is available at the Athens site. However, it requires collaboration between you, the instructor, and the off-campus staff. If your instructor agrees to send your test off-campus, you must call the site to make an appointment to test Athens: 745-8486 Students requesting accommodation testing because of a disability must be registered with the Coordinator of Disability Services. Instructors may allow reasonable accommodations and provide directions and instructions to the TC staff for administering accommodation testing. |
