CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Cleveland State Community College is hosting Burgers and Badges to say thank you to all of the first responder professionals working in the area. The event will be on Tuesday, September 27 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in front of the George R. Johnson Cultural Heritage Center.
“This is our First Burgers and Badges,” stated Rick Platz, CSCC Development Officer. “The idea originated from the faculty and staff at Cleveland State in an effort to recognize and honor the first responders throughout our community. We are grateful for their service, and we hope that this event and those that we will hold each year will show CSCC’s appreciation for these outstanding individuals and the service they provide our community.”
Those with badges and their families will eat for free; those without badges can enjoy a meal for only $5. All the proceeds from the luncheon will go to support Cleveland State first responder programs.
Platz continued, “We are also very appreciative to our sponsors for this event—Alvin Word, Coca-Cola, Tasteful Gatherings and the CSCC Wildlife Society.”
