CLEVELAND, Tenn. -  Cleveland State Community College will be hosting its third annual celebrity roast on Thursday, September 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Country Club. The featured guest to be roasted is Steve Hartline, owner of Hartline, LLC which includes radio stations Mix 104.1 and Talk 101.3 The Buzz, where he has been the morning host since 2003.
“Throughout the year, I have fun talking with people in the community about who would be the next best honoree,” stated Dr. Bill Seymour, CSCC President. “Many people said roasting Steve Hartline would be a great way to get back at him for always giving everyone else a hard time.”

Seymour continued, “It was easy to find some great folks to serve on the dais this year.  Of course Mayor Roland is looking for an opportunity to get back at Steve and me for the roasting we gave him last year. Also on the dais will be Steve's sidekick Bridgett Forrester. Representative Kevin Brooks will make a return performance, but this time he will be joined by Representative Dan Howell. Richie Hughes was eager to join the team along with Debbie Melton, Danny Murray and ace Banner reporter Brian Graves.”
With Hartline in the hot seat this year, Seymour will MC the show himself.
Hartline began his radio career working for the stations at the age of 15, broadcasting high school baseball. He also broadcasted Cleveland State basketball on the radio as a junior in high school. He graduated from Cleveland High School in 1996 (where he’s a member of the Hall of Fame) and Lee University in 2000 (where he was voted 2015 School of Communications Alumnus of the Year). Hartline also won the 2016 Communicator of the Year Award from the Cleveland Media Association. Hartline, LLC publishes Southeast Tennessee Woman and Southeast Tennessee High School Football and Winter Sports Magazines. The company also produces several local events including The Mix 104.1 Great Cleveland Duck Race and Mix 104.1 Family Expo. Hartline also hosts the annual WCLE Empty Stocking Fund each Christmas Season which raises money to fund a Christmas party for over 1,000 children in this community. He is married to Jennifer, and they have two children, Reagan, 8, and Holden, 5.
