    Carl E. Colloms, a retired judge, magistrate and attorney in southeast Tennessee has made a $25,000 pledge to fund a scholarship at Cleveland State Community College in the name of the Cleveland Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Post 2598.

    It was just a few months ago when Brenda Hughes heard her name called amongst the many award recipients at Cleveland State’s Community First Gala. Although she knew ahead of time she would be receiving the award for Non-Profit Leadership, the Community First Person of the Year Award was a huge surprise for Hughes.

    Dr. Nancy LaBine, Director of Nursing at Cleveland State Community College, was recently awarded the Tennessee Head Start 2015-2016 Community Volunteer of the Year Award by the Family Resource Agency, Inc. Tennessee Early Head Start/Head Start Policy Council.
  • CSCC Brings Technology Certificates to Northern Region

    CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Cleveland State Community College will be offering certificates in Electrical Maintenance at the Athens Center and Electrical Maintenance and Welding Technology at its new Monroe County Center this fall. Although these cohorts were offered last year at the Athens Center, CSCC has recently expanded its technology certificate offerings to the new Monroe County Center.
  • Cleveland State Continuing Ed Department to Offer Equine Camp

    Cleveland State Community College’s Continuing Education Department will be offering an Equine Science Camp this summer as a part of its summer enrichment program. The camp is scheduled two times this summer—the week of July 11-15 for 11-14 year olds and the week of July 18-22 for 15-18 year olds.

  • CSCC Receives Institutional Outcome Improvement Fund Grant

    Cleveland State Community College received $90,700 in funding from the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) through the Institutional Outcome Improvement Fund Grant. This funding is part of $800,000 provided to six colleges and universities across the state to increase student outcomes such as credit hour progression and degree completion at the institutions.
