    CLEVELAND, Tenn. – There is exciting news for veterans who want to attend Cleveland State Community College! Recent Tennessee legislation has passed, allowing veterans to obtain a more affordable education. The Veterans Education Transition Support (VETS) Act grants in-state tuition rates for former members of the U.S. armed forces and former or current members of a reserve or a Tennessee National Guard unit called into active U.S. military service at any Tennessee public college or university within 24 months of their discharge date.

  • Cleveland State Announces Academic Honor Students

    Cleveland, TN–Cleveland State Community College is pleased to recognize the talented academic students for the 2014 summer semester. Each semester, those students achieving a 4.0 grade point average are recognized by being placed on the President’s List, Cleveland State’s highest academic honor. The Vice President for Academic Affairs will recognize outstanding academic students maintaining a 3.5 to 3.99 grade point average by placing their names on the Dean’s List. Those students achieving a 3.0 to 3.49 grade point average are recognized by being placed on the Honor Roll.

    CLEVELAND, TN. – The Department of Service-Learning at Cleveland State Community College and GRAAB Coalition (Going Respectively Against Addictive Behaviors) will be co-sponsoring a Volunteer Expo on Wednesday, September 10 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium on Cleveland State’s campus.

    CLEVELAND, Tenn. –When Cleveland State Community College and the Museum Center at 5ive Points realized that they were in the same business, teaching and preserving history, they just had to get together! Cleveland State does a little more teaching than preserving history, and the Museum Center does a little more preserving than teaching, but what a perfect fit! Cleveland State Community College and The Museum Center announced a new partnership between the two—one that will allow the faculty at CSCC to be able to use the Museum as a teaching lab, something that will also benefit the students.

  • Seymour Pledges to Promote Entrepreneurship

    CLEVELAND, TN—JULY 24, 2014—The National Association of Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE), the nation’s leading organization focused on promoting entrepreneurship through community colleges, has announced that President Dr. Bill Seymour, of Cleveland State Community College, has taken its Presidents for Entrepreneurship Pledge. Through the pledge, presidents of community colleges throughout the country pledge to take five action steps that will increase their focus on entrepreneurship and the impact these colleges have on the economic well being of the communities they serve.

  • Ten Faculty Members Earn Promotions

    CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Ten faculty members at Cleveland State Community College recently earned promotions and three were recommended and approved to receive tenure from the Tennessee Board of Regents.
