    Cleveland State Community College is hosting Tennessee Promise Saturday on Saturday, September 26 from 10 a.m. – noon at both the main campus, as well as the Athens Center. This event is for area high school seniors to sign up for the Tennessee Promise and fill out their college applications as part of a statewide Scholarship Saturday.

Coalition (Going Respectively Against Addictive Behaviors) will be co-sponsoring the sixth annual “Make a Difference Now” Volunteer Expo on Wednesday, September 9 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium on Cleveland State’s campus.

    CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Governor Haslam chose to visit Cleveland State Community College campus on Monday to welcome the first class of Tennessee Promise recipients as they begin their college careers.  In addition to speaking at a press conference, he also visited with students enrolled in the First Year Seminar (FYS) classes.

  • CSCC Receives $50,000 Grant from Denso North America

    CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Cleveland State Community College Foundation, on behalf of the CSCC Technology Department, was recently awarded $50,000 from the Denso North America Foundation to fund Capital Investments for Competency-Based Denso Manufacturing Training.
      This grant will provide equipment and tools that will provide educational opportunities for students to learn through using “real world” industry processes. The increase of new technologies is making it a challenge for current and new employees to learn the new processes and for training providers and manufacturers to train the increasing number of candidates necessary to fill such positions. This equipment and learning tool upgrades will help ensure that current and future technology students develop a strong applicable skill-set in Cleveland State’s classrooms, labs and training sites. In addition, through CSCC’s increased ability to prepare students using automated and precision technologies, manufacturers will also benefit from a more qualified selection pool and workforce.

  • Cleveland State to Host Inaugural Celebrity Roast

    CLEVELAND, Tenn. Cleveland State Community College will be hosting its first celebrity roast on Thursday, September 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Country Club. The first featured guest to be roasted is Jim Cigliano. “Cig” as he is known, was one of the first employees hired at Cleveland State and retired in 2005 after 38 years of service to the college.
