    We are living in a world that few could have imagined just 25 years ago.  We are experiencing a new era of economic opportunity powered by advances in technology, fueled by massive amounts of digital data, and driven by the thirst of knowledge; all at lightening speed. Futurework is the term used to describe and project workforce trends and challenges in the 21st Century. It might seem far-fetched to some, but Futurework predictions from the Department of Labor (DOL) recently estimated that in 10 years, 65 percent of the jobs that people will be doing have not even been thought of yet. Currently, almost any job, which involves a “process,” can be achieved with a robot, computer, or a robot-computer combination.

    CLEVELAND, Tenn. – In 1997, British author J.K. Rowling introduced the world to Harry Potter, and a literary phenomenon was born. Now is your chance to be a part of that phenomenon at the Cleveland State Community College Library on Thursday, January 22 from 2-5 p.m.! CSCC is hosting the Harry Pottery Opening Bash in celebration of the Exhibition of Harry Potter’s World: Renaissance Science, Magic and Medicine. The exhibition will run from January 19-February 28.
