  • Cooperative Education Class Proves Beneficial for Geren

    ATHENS, Tenn. – When Haze Geren signed up for a cooperative education class at Cleveland State, she thought she was simply taking a class to gain some experience to put on a resume,  advice she was given during a proactive interviewing workshop offered by the Business and Technology Department. She had no idea the wealth of knowledge that she would gain during the co-op and that it would lead her to pursue her dream of becoming a speech/language pathologist.

  • Career Center Open House Scheduled for Aug. 14

    CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Cleveland State Community College and the Tennessee Career Center at Cleveland are hosting an Open House on Friday, August 14 at 10 a.m. The Open House will be held at the Career Center’s new location in Room 130 of the Technology Building on the CSCC Campus. Participants will be able to tour the new facility, hear about the services the Center offers, as well as meet the staff.

  • Fall Registration Currently Underway at CSCC

    It’s not too late to apply for fall classes at Cleveland State Community College! Fall registration is currently being held at CSCC through Thursday, August 20 for all students. The last day to submit applications for degree seeking students is Friday, August 14, and the deadline for submitting financial aid documents is Tuesday, June 30.

  • Cleveland State and Lee University Partner on Business Symposium

    Cleveland, TN–¬Cleveland State and Lee University are proud to announce the creation of a two-day professional development symposium aptly titled, “Peak Performance: A Business Excellence Symposium. The conference theme this year is, “Driving Organizational Efficiency & Effectiveness.” The Excellence Symposium will take place on Monday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 11, at the Humanity building located at Lee University. The symposium will begin each day at 9:00 a.m.

  • Cleveland State Announces Academic Honors

    Cleveland, TN–Cleveland State Community College is pleased to recognize the talented academic students for the 2015 spring semester. Each semester, those students achieving a 4.0 grade point average are recognized by being placed on the President’s List, Cleveland State’s highest academic honor. The Vice President for Academic Affairs will recognize outstanding academic students maintaining a 3.5 to 3.99 grade point average by placing their names on the Dean’s List. Those students achieving a 3.0 to 3.49 grade point average are recognized by being placed on the Honor Roll. To qualify for these awards, a student must have completed at least 12 credit hours of college-level courses during the term.

  • CSCC Smooth Transition to TWC for Duckett

    CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Whitney Duckett had always planned to go to a four-year institution after graduating from Tellico Plains High School in 2011, but when her parents’ financial situation changed, she did not want to be a burden on them and decided Cleveland State was a better fit for her family at the time. This decision proved to be the right one.
