  • Cleveland State’s Shiveley Directs The Hiding Place

    CLEVELAND, Tenn. – In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Ravensbrück concentration camp (April 30, 1945) and the effectual end of World War II (May 1945), Storyteller Productions is pleased to present The Hiding Place, the inspiring true story of Holocaust survivor Corrie ten Boom, directed by Holly Shiveley, Cleveland State Community College speech instructor. The Hiding Place will be performed at the Colonnade Theater in Ringgold, GA.

  • CSCC Offers Divorce Workshops for Parents and Children this Summer

    CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Classes on parents, children and divorce are now offered on the Cleveland State campus. These classes fulfill the requirements of the Tennessee Education Seminar Law for divorcing parents.

    CLEVELAND, Tenn. – John Morgan, Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor, awarded Cleveland philanthropist Allan Jones, CEO and founder of Check Into Cash, Inc., with the prestigious Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Philanthropy for his generous donations and his outstanding volunteer efforts in raising funds for Cleveland State. Jones received this honor on Tuesday afternoon during an outdoor media conference on the main CSCC campus.

    CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Cleveland State Community College was recently honored with 2014 Tree Campus USA® recognition by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management.

  • CSCC Gives First Honorary Degree

    The program for Cleveland State Community College’s 2015 commencement exercises Saturday morning listed more than 400 who would receive their degrees and certificates.

    It also listed the commencement speaker.

    The speaker had no idea that before the morning was over, he would join the CSCC graduating class of 2015.

  • Adults Deserve a Promise Too

    For the past year we have heard a great deal about Tennessee Promise – a ground-breaking new initiative to provide all graduating high school seniors in the state an opportunity to attend two years of college for “free.”  Applications for this program have far-surpassed everyone’s expectations and we are excited to welcome our first class of Tennessee Promise students this fall.

  • Jones to Address CSCC Graduates

    CLEVELAND, TN. – Approximately 500 students of Cleveland State’s class of 2015 will receive their degrees and certificates during the 49th Commencement Ceremony Saturday, May 9 at 10 a.m. in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium.
