Mission

"To serve as the region's leader in advocating, planning, and maximizing funding and resources for homeless services."

We hope to do this by identifying the service needs of the homeless community and to work with organizations to coordinate, create and develop resources, which would facilitate these community actions into a reality of actual services offered. The Coalition currently covers 11 counties, Bledsoe County, Bradley County, Grundy County, Hamilton County, Franklin County, Marion County, McMinn County, Meigs County, Polk County, Rhea County, Sequatchie County.

  • To provide a forum in which homeless issues could be discussed and addressed.
  • Advocating for the specific identified needs of individuals and families who are homeless to assure that the various systems involved work effectively on their behalf.
  • Identify and develop funding sources from both the public and private sectors for homeless programs.
  • Provide a vehicle through which information on homeless issues is disseminated to concerned agencies and organizations.

Populations Served: We serve Bledsoe County, Bradley County, Grundy County, Hamilton County, Franklin County, Marion County, McMinn County, Meigs County, Polk County, Rhea County, Sequatchie County.

The Alzheimer's Association - Mid South Chapter serves 85 counties in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and Virginia with offices in Nashville, Memphis, Tullahoma, Johnson City, Chattanooga and Huntsville. Today, the Mid South Chapter serve the over 50,000 affected by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias as well as the over 100,000 people involved as caregivers.

Opportunities to Serve:

  • Volunteers may work with planning processes and assisting with raising funds.
