People Helping People Ministry (PHP) in Benton, TN is a nonprofit organization founded to provide assistance and comfort without discrimination or monetary gain to anyone in their time of distress. These include single parents, elderly individuals, persons just released from jail, victims of domestic violence, or people who have gotten a job where special clothing is required.
Services
The Clothing Bank will provide at no charge one bag of clothing and one nonclothing item to each qualified person on a once a month basis. Furniture and appliances will be provided to those in need on a one large item per month per household basis. Adjacent to the Clothing Bank is a Crisis Room for those who have endured a crisis such as a house fire, tornado, survivor domestic violence, getting out of jail, etc. At no charge a family will be provided towels, pillows, blankets, mops, hangers, dishes, and other household items. Our goal is to sustain the family and help them rebuild their lives. Other charities supported by People Helping People includes but is not limited too Cell Phones for Troops, Valentines for Troops, Coats for Kids, Eyeglasses for Lions Club, and Food for the Polk County Food Bank.
