Phi Theta Kappa motivates its members to become more involved in their school and community through the four Hallmarks PTK stands for.
HALLMARKS
Service- PTK strives to serve our community in many ways. Annually we hold Project graduation and various other donation drives to collect food, books, and personal supplies that are later distributed to local charities, families, and schools. At the same time, we offer many volunteer opportunities to the members to serve their community.
Fellowship- PTK members come together often to discuss the Honors Study Topic and offer socialization to the members with other people like themselves.
Leadership- PTK encourages its members to take on leadership roles inside and outside the chapter making a difference for themselves and the wider community. While some of the events seem like Service, Fellowship, or Scholarship it is the strategy and organizational skills used in planning that make it a leadership event.
Scholarship- PTK recognizes scholarship among fellow students, faculty, and community members. In elementary schools, we tutor those less fortunate in hope that they will one day be scholars.
One of the most tangible benefits of PTK is the scholarships that are offered only to members.
