How to apply

Applying to Cleveland State is easy! Cleveland State has an open-door admissions policy. Everyone who has earned a high school degree or GED may attend Cleveland State. The Admissions Office will notify you of any testing requirements that apply to you. Here's how to apply:

  • Complete an application. An application is available from the catalog, you may call (423) 614-8734.
  • Return application with the $10 application fee.
  • Request your high school transcripts or GED scores be sent to Cleveland State.
  • All degree-seeking students under the age 21 are required to take the ACT/SAT. First-time freshman above the age 21 are required to take the COMPASS test. Students may take either test at Cleveland State
