Program Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to do the following:

Learn to operate, make adjustments, and repair the following welding equipment: GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding or MIG), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding or Stick), PAC (Plasma Arc Cutting), and OFC (Oxy-Fuel Cutting).
This certificate will allow the student to weld and become proficient in the 1F (Fillet Weld Flat Position), 2F (Fillet Welding Horizontal Position) and up to 3F (Fillet Welding Vertical Position), 4F (Fillet Welding Overhead Position), 2G (Groove Welding Horizontal Position), 3G (Groove Welding Vertical Position), and 4G (Groove Welding Overhead Position). Students will learn to operate safely and make cuts with an OOxy-Fuel torch, as well as a PAC (Plasma Arc Cutting machine).

What Are My Options to Pay for This Degree?

Apply for financial aid at www.FAFSA.gov. A student is encouraged to apply early for financial aid and must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the FAFSA Renewal Application as soon as possible after October 1 to ensure that the Financial Aid Office receives the Institutional Student Information Record and other documents prior to the priority deadline.
