What is Agribusiness A.S.?
EXPECTED HOURS FOR A.S. DEGREE: 62
The Associate of Science in Agribusiness is designed to prepare students with a fundamental knowledge of the agriculture industry and practical agriculture business management in areas of: plant science, animal science, economics and technical skills. Students will create life-long learning approaches with practical application in agriculture related to production, distribution and consumption of agricultural goods and services. This A.S. Degree is designed to transfer to a four-year university.
What is Agribusiness Concentration: Business, A.A.S.?
EXPECTED HOURS FOR A.A.S. DEGREE: 61
The Associate of Applied Science Agribusiness Concentration: Business A.A.S. is designed to prepare students with a fundamental knowledge of the agriculture industry and practical agriculture business management. Students will get a strong, big-picture sense of how business works, learn the ins and outs of agricultural practices and discover how the two work together. Just as important as classroom work is the opportunity to participate in internships through this program. This A.A.S. degree is not specifically intended for transfer but is designed as an option for a student wishing to enter the workforce immediately upon completion of their two year degree.
What is Agribusiness Certificate?
EXPECTED HOURS FOR CERTIFICATE: 22
The Agribusiness Certificate is designed to prepare students with a fundamental knowledge of the agriculture industry and practical agriculture management. This certificate is embedded in the A.A.S. Degree in Business, Agribusiness Concentration. For students who wish to continue on to complete the A.A.S., all courses taken in this certificate will apply.
Program Outcomes
Upon completion of these programs, students will be able to do the following:
