What is Computer Information Technology, A.A.S.?

The Computer Information Technology (CIT) program prepares students for high-demand careers in networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and IT support. Students gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and technologies while building skills aligned with employer needs. Some required courses are A+ Core 1 and Core 2, Principles of Information Assurance, Introduction to Networking, Windows Server I & II, Cloud Computing, Digital Forensics, and Network Security. Certifications applicable to this program may include CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cloud+, and AWS Cloud Architecting and Cloud Operations among others.Â
This is a technical program designed to prepare students for employment. This program is not a transfer program, although many institutions accept all or part of the coursework toward a bachelor’s degree.Â
