The Logistics and Supply Chain Management Concentration of the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business provides students with the skills needed for jobs in high‐demand supply chain and logistic careers. Students will learn the principles of logistics necessary for employment and advancement in the field with courses emphasizing:
Logistics and supply chain management functions and activities
Data analytical tools used in supply chain management
Ethical/legal issues related to purchasing and transportation of goods and materials
Critical thinking skills
Marketing, management, and customer service strategies
Sourcing and procurement processes and bottom line impact to businesses
Current local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations related to the large-scale transport and storage of materials.
Students will also participate in an intense logistics capstone strategy course and an internship experience in the final semester of the program.
