Fall Milestones

• GEN 1010 can be taken as a two week bootcamp that runs for 3 hours per day for the 10 weekdays prior to the first day of class.
• CHEM 1110 requires completion of ALL Learning Support requirements. 
  If you have not had high school chemistry or CHEM 1010, you need to enroll in CHEM 1010 before enrolling in CHEM 1110.
• If you have Writing Learning Support requirements, then you will need to register for ENGL 0900 in addition to ENGL 1010.  If you have Reading Learning Support requirements, then you will need to register for READ 0810 in addition to ENGL 1010.
• MATH 1910* requires a Math ACT score of 26 or higher.  Otherwise, completion of MATH 1730 or MATH 1710 and MATH 1720 is required. 
• PSYC 1030 requires completion of Reading and Writing Learning Support requirements.

FINANCIAL AID ALERT - If you receive aid, the priority deadline to apply or renew your FAFSA and submit any requested documentation could be near.  Be sure to check your Cleveland State email daily for deadlines, announcements, and award updates for the academic year.  Please see your success coach or enrollment specialist to make sure you are in good standing or if you have any questions.

ADVISING and REGISTRATION - Work with your success coach and/or academic advisor to discuss Spring registration.  Remember, advising is key to success!

Spring Milestones

• CHEM 1120 requires successful completion of CHEM 1110.Successful completion of CHEM 1120 is required for progression to CHEM 2010.
• ENGL 1020 requires completion of ENGL 1010 with a grade of C or higher.
• MATH 1920* requires completion of MATH 1910 with a grade of C or higher.

• FINANCIAL AID ALERT - Now is the time to begin thinking about financial aid for next semester.  Be sure to check your Cleveland State email daily for deadlines, announcements, and award updates for the upcoming academic year.   Please contact your success coach or academic advisor if you have any questions.
• ADVISING and REGISTRATION - Work with your success coach and/or academic advisor to discuss Summer and Fall registration.  Remember, advising is key to success!   If you are planning to transfer to a four-year university, make an appointment with your academic advisor soon.  They can assist you with making the right course selections, as well as help you begin the transfer process.

ADVISING and REGISTRATION - Work with your academic advisor to discuss Spring registration.  Your advisor can assist you in course selection, as well as checking requirements for transfer and/or graduation. 

Spring Milestones

• CHEM 2020* requires successful completion of CHEM 2010.  This class is offered only in Spring semesters.
• All History courses requires completion of Reading Learning Support requirements. 
  Students should take the history sequence required by the senior institution. 
  For example, UTK and UTC prefer World History whereas TTU and MTSU prefer US History.
• Any literature course will satisfy the Humanities/Fine Arts (literature) requirement and all require successful completion of ENGL 1020.

GRADUATION - Apply to graduate by completing the online Intent to Graduate form. This can be found under the Graduation Tab within the Registration Tools and Forms on Cougarnet.  You will need to schedule to take your exit exam and/or program test at mycs.cc/testing.  These will be taken in the Testing Center.

CONGRATULATIONS! After you complete this semester's courses and maintain an overall 2.0 GPA, you will be a Cleveland State Graduate!
