Workforce Development at Cleveland State Community College is home to the Onesource Workforce Readiness Assessment Center. It is the one-stop destination for all of your workforce testing, training, and business related needs in Bradley, Meigs, McMinn, Monroe, and Polk counties in SE  Tennessee.

- We provide legally defensible employment testing services to identify your skilled candidates and employees, so you can make the best hire, promote the right employees, and develop on-target training programs.

- Our assessment center employs industry professionals and  industrial-organizational psychology practitioners who develop and validate new tests, review and properly document any current testing you may already have in place, or provide off-the-shelf testing.

-  We deliver a broad range of job titles within each of the following categories (*scoring is immediate): Agriculture, Construction, Drafting, Maintenance, Electrical, HVAC, Computer, Engineering, Machine, Business, Transportation, etc.

- Our assessment center also provides validated and reliable hands-on testing. We test mechanics, machine operators, electricians, electronics technicians, PLC hardware knowledge, and process control technicians. Hands-on tests allow the candidate to demonstrate application of knowledge that an online test does not fully capture for the purpose of the position. Each hands-on test is 90 minutes, with typically next-day scoring.

-  We have many examples of assessments performed but to highlight a few projects that are ongoing:

  • Waupaca continues to use Cleveland State WorkForce Development for hands on test development for employee selection, promotion, and on-going mass testing for promotion of their mechanics and electricians at our Athens Campus training and testing site.
  • JTEKT ob analysis and amendment, turnover analysis, behavior-based structured interview with BARS, rater training, test delivery for production workers
