Welding is a very popular and a high demand training on both the credit side and non-credit side. Our training is specialized in Stick, Mig, and Tig welding. The training can also include oxy fuel torch and plasma cutting as part of the curriculum. When working with Workforce Development the location of the training can also be customizable. Whether it is working within our 12-bay welding lab on the main campus in Cleveland or our other county campus sites or even at our industry partners site to make it more convenient for our local manufacturers.

Workforce Development recently completed a customized training that was scheduled after hours in our welding lab here in Cleveland. The training was for six students that knew Mig welding but their management wanted them to learn Tig welding. We tailored the training around their schedule for a 40 hour training that lasted 10 weeks and ended in a certification of completion.

This is a great example of enhancing skills of employees so the manufacturer can provide a better service or product to their customers. Call 423-478-6256 for more information on customized training with Workforce Development at Cleveland State Community College.
