CLEVELAND, TN – Cleveland State Community College and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) signed an updated Dual Admission Agreement for transfer students this week. The program is designed to provide a seamless transition for students earning an associate degree at Cleveland State to continue their education and obtain a bachelor’s degree at UTC.
The agreement allows guaranteed admission to UTC for participating students after earning their associate degree at Cleveland State. Students will receive tailored guidance from UTC advisors throughout their time at Cleveland State to ensure a quick and easy transfer to UTC. During the semester they graduate from Cleveland State, students will be granted priority registration at UTC.
Participating students will receive a UTC student ID so they can also take advantage of the benefits offered to UTC students such as the Aquatics and Recreation Center, athletic events and more. Fees may apply to these services.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Cleveland State Community College and reaffirm our commitment to provide Cleveland State students with a smooth transfer to UTC to complete a bachelor’s degree program,” UTC Chancellor Steven R. Angle said. “This dual admission agreement signing is an example of higher education institutions working together to empower students while we strive to meet regional and state workforce needs.”
Dr. Ty Stone, Cleveland State President, said, “We are excited to continue working closely with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I appreciate the commitment of the faculty and staff at both institutions to make the transfer process even easier for students. Our collaborative partnership will lead to a greater pathway for our students and our community.”
