Dr. Andy White - Cleveland State's 8th President

April 17, 2024 — Cleveland State Community College welcomed Dr. Andy White as the eighth president of the college earlier this month. White served 20 years in the United States Air Force then worked for the University of Tennessee, Volunteer State Community College and Belmont University. Social Work Faculty Spotlight – Jana Pankey

April 10, 2024 — She grew up less than a mile from Cleveland State Community College, riding her bicycle on the tennis courts and going to basketball games with her father. Later, she became the first medical social worker and youngest department head at Cleveland Community Hospital. First Generation Student – Freny Lopez

April 02, 2024 — At the age of 23, Freny Lopez became the first person in her family to graduate high school. A year later, she enrolled at Cleveland State Community College as a Tennessee Reconnect student. Now a nursing major, Lopez plans to graduate in May 2025 and become a pediatric nurse. Career/Transfer Fair

April 01, 2024 — Cleveland State Community College will host a Career/Transfer Fair on Wednesday, April 17, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium on Cleveland State’s main campus. The free event is open to the public. Read more about Career/Transfer Fair

Curiosity and Solutions – An Engineer’s Journey

March 11, 2024 — A chemical engineer, process engineer, development engineer and manufacturing engineer, Mary Cole, an adjunct instructor at Cleveland State Community College, loves to make things, solve problems and learn new skills. According to Cole, the two most important qualities of a good engineer are “an insatiable curiosity and the ability to problem solve on the fly.
