2021 Community First Award Honorees Selected

July 28, 2021 — The results are in! The 6th annual Community First Awards Committee received dozens of nominations seeking to honor individuals across five categories. Nominations were selected based on this year’s theme of putting the community first during a world-wide pandemic. There were a total of 10 honorees for the individual categories. Federal Funding Supports CSCC Students

July 27, 2021 — Cleveland State Community College has received $3.6 million in federal funding from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF) to help students negatively impacted by the pandemic. Through this program, students can receive extra money to help pay for their upcoming fall and spring semester, along with other needs like housing, healthcare, or childcare.  Read more about Federal Funding Supports CSCC Students

Vice President of Academic Affairs Changes Dynamics of Curriculum Throughout the Pandemic

July 14, 2021 — Since the spring of 2020, the world has had to adapt to the new changes the pandemic brought to our everyday lives. Cleveland State Community College was no exception and the challenge became giving current and prospective students access to classes and events on campus. Though nothing really prepared anyone for guiding a school through such an event, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Barsha Pickell, has helped strengthen the college’s online teachings, tutorials, and research while also developing safe and effective ways to be on campus while renovations took place. CSCC honors city council, county commission with TBR Chancellor’s Award

July 14, 2021 — Both the Bradley County Commission and Cleveland City Council were recognized Monday for their support of Cleveland State Community College, when the Tennessee Board of Regents presented both with the 2021 TBR Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Philanthropy. CSCC Awarded SERS And OER Grants

July 08, 2021 — Cleveland State Community College recently received good news in the form of three new grants. The college was awarded two Student Engagement Retention and Success (SERS) Grants and one Open Ed Resources and Digital Engagement (OER) Grant from the Tennessee Board of Regents.
