CSCC Awarded $100,000 Grant from DENSO for STEM Education

August 13, 2019 — Cleveland State Community College, a leading educational institution, received a $100,000 grant from the world’s second largest mobility supplier DENSO for programs focused on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The grant, which is made possible by the company’s philanthropic arm, DENSO North America Foundation (DNAF), is one of 26 grants awarded by DENSO in 2019 to colleges and universities throughout North America. The donations are part of DENSO’s broader efforts to cultivate tomorrow’s workforce and prepare young thinkers to lead a new era of innovation. August 13, 2019 — Cleveland State received results from the most recent Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE).  This is a nationally normed survey utilized by hundreds of community colleges across the United States and its parent organization – the Center for Community College Student Engagement – is considered a leading authority on matters leading to student success. CSCC Plans Reconnect Information Sessions in July

July 15, 2019 — Cleveland State Community College will be hosting a variety of Reconnect Information Sessions at all sites throughout the month of July. On Tuesday, July 9 from 4-6 p.m. there will be a session at the Monroe County Center. On Tuesday, July 16, there will be a session from 4-6 p.m. at the Athens Center, and on Thursday, July 23, there will be a session in the Enrollment Services Center in the George L. CSCC Honors Program Brings Home Award

June 17, 2019 — The Cleveland State Community College Honors Program received the Outstanding Instructional Program Award at the 2019 Community Colleges of Appalachia Annual Conference held this past week in Asheville, NC. A Partnership of Success: The Refuge Career Connection and CSCC’s OneSource Mig Welding Training

May 31, 2019 — The Refuge and Cleveland State Community College Workforce Development recently held a graduation for seven students who participated successfully in all elements of The Refuge Career Connection, a two-part workforce training that prepares individuals for long-term careers. Growing Our Future

January 19, 2017 — Some important announcements were made at Cleveland State Community College on Thursday. In the college’s “Growing Our Future” press conference held in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium, Dr. Bill Seymour and other representatives from CSCC shared plans for new athletic sports programs, enhanced academic programs and a significant financial contribution which will result in the first named academic program at the college.
