The Audio Production Emphasis of the University Parallel, A.S. provides students with a strong foundation for music careers in business and industry. The curriculum is designed to provide students with the specialized knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience modern creative professionals need. The curriculum emphasizes using industry-standard technology and the growing field of AI audio to help students plan, analyze, and create music and sound productions.  This program applies to students interested in working in the recording industry, the movie industry, television, radio, churches, podcasts, or live music performances.

The Cleveland State Community College Music Program also offers a traditional music program, including lessons, ensembles, and piano instruction. Our students have the opportunity to perform with our own Vocal Rhapsody vocal ensemble, the Cleveland Pops Band, the Cleveland Orchestra, and the local Cleveland Jazz Works community jazz band.
