What is Customer Service Certificate?

EXPECTED HOURS FOR CERTIFICATE: 21

This certificate is intended to prepare individuals for employment in a variety of customer service. The courses in this certificate go towards the A.A.S. in Business degree at Cleveland State. This certificate is not a transfer certificate, although many institutions accept all or part of the course work toward the bachelor’s degree.

Program Outcomes

Upon completion of these programs, students will be able to do the following:

  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, think critically, and develop problem solving skills while utilizing quantitative data in business situations through physical or virtual presence in writing, speaking, listening, and electronic data.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the American free enterprise system.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the basic interaction of supply and demand.
  • Apply business and management knowledge through employability of skills
  • Interpret accounting information, marketing practices, and economic data to be creative with business solutions

What Are My Options to Pay for This Degree?

Apply for financial aid at www.FAFSA.gov. A student is encouraged to apply early for financial aid and must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the FAFSA Renewal Application as soon as possible after October 1 to ensure that the Financial Aid Office receives the Institutional Student Information Record and other documents prior to the priority deadline. July 1st is the priority deadline for applying for the fall semester and December 1st for the spring semester.
