What is Health Care Management Concentration?
EXPECTED HOURS FOR A.A.S. DEGREE: 61
The Health Care Management Concentration: Business A.A.S. is designed for the individual who plans to become an employee in a nursing home, hospital, clinic or home health care agency. This is an occupational program designed to equip students for employment. This program is not a transfer program, although many institutions accept all or part of the course work toward the bachelor’s degree.
Program Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to do the following:
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, think critically, and develop problem solving skills while utilizing quantitative data in business situations through physical or virtual presence in writing, speaking, listening, and electronic data.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the American free enterprise system
- Demonstrate an understanding of the basic interaction of supply and demand.
- Apply business and management knowledge through employability of skills
- Interpret accounting information, marketing practices, and economic data to be creative with business solutions
